The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Ambrosetown contained the following places:

"AMBROSETOWN, a parish in the barony of Bargy, in the county of Wexford, and province of Leinster, Ireland, 4 miles to the S.W. of Taghmon. It includes the village of Tullycanna, and the townlands of Ballingeal and Rochestown. The living is a rectory forming part of the union of Duncormuck in the diocese of Ossory, Ferns, and Leighlin."

"TULTYCANNA, a village in the barony of Bargy, county Wexford, province of Munster, Ireland, 4 miles from Tagmon. It contains a police-station."
