In 1868, the parish of Artramon contained the following places:

"ARTRAMON, (or Ardtramont), a parish in the barony of Shelmalier, in the county of Wexford, province of Leinster, Ireland, 4 miles to the N. of Wexford. It is situated on the bank of the river Slaney, where the small stream Sow falls into it. The scenery of the neighbourhood is very pleasant and diversified. The soil is fertile, and there are quarries of sandstone. The living is a rectory included in the union of Ardcolme, in the diocese of Ossory, Ferns, and Leighlin. The church is a ruin. Artramont House, the seat of G. le Hunt, Esq., is situated on a wooded hill, with views over the country and the harbour. On the north side of the grounds is Eden Vale, a beautiful glen. There are several picturesque cascades. The parish contains the ruins of a castle, and some traces of a Danish fort.

"CROSSABEG, a village in the barony of East Shelmaliere, in the county of Wexford, Ireland, 3 miles N.W. of Wexford."
