The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Killenagh contained the following places:

"KILLENAGH, a parish in the barony of Ballaghkeen, county Wexford, province of Leinster, Ireland, 5 miles S.E. of Gorey, its post town. It is 4 miles long by 1½ mile broad, and lies along the sea-coast. Part of its boundary is traced by the river Awin-Banna. The living is an impropriate curacy in the diocese of Ferns, value with Ardamine, £91. There is a hedge-school. A dispensary here is within the Gorey Poor-law Union. Ballywalter House and Tomduff House are the principal residences."
