The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Owenduff contained the following places:

"OWENDUFF, a parish in the barony of Shelbourne, county Wexford, province of Leinster, Ireland, 6 miles S.E. of New Ross. Fethard is its post town. It is 4 miles long and the same in breadth. The surface, which lies along the Owenduff river, is boggy, and has a light soil. It is crossed by the road from Ballyhack to Enniscorthy. The living is an impropriate curacy in the diocese of Ferns, value with Tintern and Clonmines, £92. The church is in ruins. The Roman Catholic chapel is united to that of Tintern. There are some large bleach greens and a flour-mill.

"CARRICKSHEDOGE, a hamlet in the barony of Shelburne, in the county of Wexford, province of Leinster, Ireland, 6 miles to the S.E. of New Ross."

"CASSAGH, a village in the barony of Shelburne, in the county of Wexford, province of Leinster, Ireland, 5 miles to the S.E. of New Ross."

"NASH, a village in the parish of Owenduff, barony of Shelburne, county Wexford, province of Leinster, Ireland, 4 miles S.S.E. of New Ross. It is situated on the Tintern road. Fairs are held on the 24th June, 15th August, and 20th November."
