In 1868, the parish of Whitechurchglynn contained the following places:

"WHITECHURCHGLYNN, a parish in the baronies of Bantry and West Shelmaliere, county Wexford, Ireland, 4 miles N.E. of Tagmon. The parish lies near the river Slaney. The living is a curacy in the diocese of Ferns, annexed to Killurin. The church is in ruins."
