In 1868, the parish of Burgage contained the following places:

"BURGAGE, a parish in the barony of Lower Talbotstown, in the county of Wicklow, province of Munster, Ireland, 2 miles to the S.W. of Blossington. It is the estate of the Marquis of Downshire. The principal seats are Rusborough, belonging to the Earl of Miltown, and Russeltown."

"RUSSBOROUGH, a demesne of the Earl of Milltown, in the parish of Burgage, county Wicklow, Ireland, near Blessington."
