In 1868, the parish of Killahurler contained the following places:

"KILLAHURLER, a parish in the barony of Arklow, county Wicklow, province of Leinster, Ireland, 4 miles W. of Arklow, its post town. The parish, which is 2 miles in length and the same in breadth, comprises some upland in the southern district. The soil is generally good. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Dublin, value with Arklow, £228, in the patronage of the archbishop. Gold has been found in the vicinity."
