"TUBBER, a parish in the Barony of UPPERCROSS, County of Dublin, and Province of LEINSTER, one mile (N) of Dunlavan on the road to Ballymore-Eustace; containing 104 inhabitants. The Parish, which comprises only 900 acres, is situated at the point of the junction of the counties of Kildare, Dublin and Wicklow.  It is a curacy, in the Diocese of Dublin annexed by Act of Council in 1833 to the Union of Dunlavin.  The rectory is appropriate to the Archbishop. The tithes amount to £88 12s 3¾d. In the RC Divisions it forms part of a union with Dunlavan.  There are slight remains of the old church, situated in a burial place near an old mansion, the property of the Leslie family, now occupied by the police."
