St Quivox Church dates back to the 13th century, with the present building restored in 1595 by Alan Lord Cathcart. A very worn sandstone plaque on the church wall records this work. A second granite plaque was added in 1995 to mark the 400th anniversary of the restoration. The church is a typical Scottish Presbyterian building, very plain outside and inside with a balcony, originally for the local gentry.
