Gladsmuir, Church of Scotland

The church has/had a graveyard.

It was built in 1839, rebuilt after being gutted by fire in 1886, and improved both externally and internally in 1929.

The ruins of the old parish church remain in the cemetery.

OPRs (Old Parish Registers) are available from 1688 (Births), 1692 (Marriages) and 1746 (Deaths). Apparently, the births "seem to have been kept with great regularity".
