The current building dates from 1784, and, was closed in 2022, following the joining of the parishs of Cockburnspath, Innerwick and Oldhamstocks, with Cockburnspath church remaining in use.
There are records of a church since the 12th Century, but, no signs of earlier buildings can be seen.
A brief summary of the church, and photographs, can be found in the Canmore database.
OPRs (Old Parish Registers) are available from 1614 (Births and Marriages) and 1663 (Deaths). Although Births and Marriages have reasonable coverage, Deaths are very limited, with no records between 1688 - 1716, and, 1718 - 1782.
Further details of the surviving records, blanks, etc can be obtained from the NRS.
