The current church was built in 1800, on the site of the earlier 15th Century church. It is likely that an even earlier, pre-reformation church was also on the site.

OPRs (Old Parish Registers) are available from 1611 (Births and Marriages) and 1618 for Deaths.There are a number of gaps, including only 1 death recorded between Oct 1631 - Jan 1782.
