Church History

It was founded after 1876 (when this location was the edge of Edinburgh), appearing on the 1893 OS map, where it is shown as having seats for 740, with an adjacent church hall with seating for 600.

Initially a Free Church, it became United Free in 1902, then Church of Scotland in 1929.

In 1960, it merged with Haymarket to form Dalry Haymarket, merging in 1973 with the nearby St Brides to form St Colms prish, which then merged with Gorgie, and subsequently Stenhouse St Aidans to form "GDS".

The church, and halls, have now been demolished.
