It was founded in 1869. It closed, and was demolished, in 1965. The church is shown on Edinburgh maps by 1877, but the area had not been built up at the time of the 1852 OS map.
On closure, congregation moved to the nearby Roseburn Church, Hampton Terrace (now also closed)
According to http://www.scottisharchitects.org.uk this was the first "wholly new church" built for the established church after the 1843 disruption.
