Originally built (in 1830) for United Secessionist Church. Became UP 1894; UF 1900; C of S 1929; now serves as the parish kirk in place of former Kirk (built 1793; demolished 1956).

In 2024, the church was listed for sale by the Church of Scotland.

OPRs (Old Parish Registers) are available from 1617 (Births and Marriages) with some 17th Century deaths, although these were not continuously kept until 1819.
