Built in 1887 by the widow of the then Lord Penrhyn (Edward Gordon Douglas- Pennant) in memory of her husband. The church cost over £3000 with a capacity of 212.

On 22/05/1892 the Church Bells of St. Cross ring for the first time by Rev. Evan Davies in celebration of the Birthday of Queen Victoria. The Church was consecrated on 22/09/1892 by Bishop Lloyd of Bangor.
