Salem Chapel, Llanllyfni

The address given and map location indicate the site of the original Capel Salem. The chapel was demolished and is now a car park. Behind this original chapel site is the Salem cemetery which is marked on the map as Bara Caws. Capel Salem is now on Rhedyw Road, a short distance from the above site. Originally this was Capel Moriah (see Capel Moriah page for location) and became Capel Salem after demolition of the original building. Bara Caws (Ty'n Lon Scotch Baptist Chapel) was on the site almost directly opposite Capel Salem on Rhedyw Road. Ty'n Lon Scotch baptist Chapel has now been demolished but this is the location of the Bara Caws cemetery.
