LLYSFAEN

In 1868, the parish of Llysfaen contained the following places:

"LLYSFAEN, a parish in the hundred of Creuddyn, county Carnarvon and partly in the county of Denbigh, 4 miles W. of Abergele, its post town, and 7 E. of Conway. It is situated on the N. coast, adjoining the county of Denbigh, and includes, with Pant and Isallt, 5 townships. The Liverpool Telegraph had a station here. Limestone is obtained. The living is a rectory* in the diocese of St. Asaph, value £250, in the patronage of the bishop. The church is dedicated to St. Cynvran. The charities amount to about £4 per annum."

"IS-Y-FFORDD, a township in the parish of Llysfaen, county Denbigh, 4 miles W. of Abergele."

"ISALLT, a township in the parish of Llysfaen, county Denbigh, 4 miles W. of Abergele."

"PANT, a township in the parish of Llysfaen, county Denbigh, formerly in Carnarvon, 7 miles E. of Conway."

"PENMAIN, a township in the parish of Llysfaen, county Denbigh, formerly in Carnarvon, 2 miles W. of Abergele, and 7 E. of Conway. It is situated near the coast."

"RHWNGYDDNYFORDD, a township in the parish of Llysfaen, hundred of Creaddyn, county Denbigh, formerly in Carnarvon, 3 miles W. of Abergele, and 6 E. of Conway, on the coast near the Holyhead railway."
