….. of God. Amen. I Thomas Thomas of the parish of Llandysul and county of Cardiganshire        praised be to the almighty God to make my last will and testament in the manner and form…. I do give my soul unto my redeemer who gave it to me and my body to be buried after a christian burial at the parish church of  ?.ytom
Item I do give and bequeath unto my elder brother David Thomas of Camnant (Camnant Hall?)  the sum of £30 of current British money  to be part of my executor and to his two sons and daughter two shillings and sixpence a piece to be paid by my executor.

Item I  do give and bequeath unto my second brother Evan Thomas a spott of meadow by the River Clettwr during his natural life.

Item I do give and bequeath unto my third brother John Thomas the sum of £20 of current British money to be paid by my executor.

Item I  do give two toals of Pilcorn to the poor of Llandysul.

Item I do give unto Margaret John of Pant..y  Mark? the sum of £1.1s to be paid by  my executor.
And finally I do give and bequeath and devise all those lands and tenements in Llandysul parish commonly called and known by the names of Tir Pant y defaid and Tir Gwaun y pand? unto my sister Mary to have and to hold all those lands and tenements with every portend parcel the roof with the appurtenances unto her and to her heirs and assigns forever.
I do appoint my said sister Mary to be my sole executor and to pay the legacies.
And further my will and pleasure is that if my sister Mary can spare the aforesaid lands of Pant y defaid and Guaun y rews ( Gwar-llwyn-oedos? ) to any tenant to give them to my brother Evan for the annual rent of £6 during his natural life and the said legatees to be paid before Michaelmas the year 1733. Except £10 unto my brother David Thomas about Michaelmas next       whereof I have put my hand and seal this

This will was found along with other family papers in the Rev Thomas Thomas 1741- 1826 of Kibworth Harcourt’s papers and correspondence ( Leicestershire).
Thomas Thomas was born in Tre’lech ar Betts, Carmarthenshire. He sponsored/ financed two nephews to be surgeons.
