The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Llandawke contained the following places:

"LLANDAWKE, a parish in the hundred of Derllys, county Carmarthen, 1 mile W. of Laugharne, its post town, and 14 from Tenby. It is situated near the mouth of the river Taff. There is no village, only a few scattered houses. The tithes were commuted in 1839. The living is a rectory in the diocese of St. David's, to which that of Pendine is annexed. The church is dedicated to St. Margaret."
