The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Pencarreg contained the following places:

"PENCARREG, a parish in the hundred of Cathinog, county Carmarthen, 4 miles S.W. of Lampeter, its post town, and 18 from Carmarthen. It is situated on the river Teifi, under Mynydd Hill. The parish is of large extent. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of St. David, value £126. The church is dedicated to St. Patrick. A fair is held on the 11th October."
