In 1868, the parish of Llanbedr Dyffryn Clwyd contained the following places:

"LLANBEDR-DYFFRYN-CLWYD, a parish in the hundred of Ruthin, county Denbigh, 2 miles N.E. of Ruthin, its post town, and 11 N.W. of Llangollen. It is situated at the base of Moel Fammau, and is watered by the river Clywd. The townships of Bodelgar, Llwynedd, Rhiwia, and Treganol are included in this parish. The living is a rectory* in the diocese of St. Asaph, value £340, in the patronage of the bishop. The church is dedicated to St. Peter. The parochial charities produce about £35 per annum. Llanbedr Hall and Berth are the principal residences."

"BODELGAR, a township in the parish of Llanbedr Dyffryn Clwyd, hundred of Ruthin, in the county of Denbigh, North Wales, 2 miles to the N.E. of Ruthin."

"RHIWIA, a township in the parish of Llanbedr-Dyffryn-Clwyd, county Denbigh, 2 miles N.E. of Ruthin."

"TREGANOL, a township in the parish of Llanbedr-Dyffryn-Clwyd, county Denbigh, 2 miles N.E. of Ruthin."
