The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Leckwith contained the following places:

"LECKWITH, (or Llechwydd), a parish in the hundred of Dinas Powis, county Glamorgan, 2 miles S.W. of Cardigan. Cardiff is its post town. It is a small village situated on the river Ely. The inhabitants are chiefly engaged in agriculture. The living is a rectory* with Llandough and Cogan annexed, in the diocese of Llandaff, joint value £182. The church is a small ancient structure.
