In 1868, the parish of Llysworney contained the following places:
"LLYSWORNEY, (or Llyswerni), a parish in the hundred of Cowbridge, county Glamorgan, 2 miles S.W. of Cowbridge, its post town, and 6 from Bridgend. It is a small rustic place. The living is a rectory annexed to the vicarage of Llantwit-Major, in the diocese of Llandaff. The church is dedicated to St. Tudvillage
