"The Church was built in 1969-70 and was concecrated by the Archbishop of Wales, Dr Glyn Simon, in 1970. The architect was a Cimla man, Mr Ken Davies. I (The Venerable Brian Lucas CB) was the priest responsible for the building and celebrated the Holy Eucharist in it for the first time the morning after the consecration. The first churchwardens were Mr Isaac Richards and Mr Bill Powell. The Rector of Neath was Canon J F Williams."
