The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Llandewi Velfrey contained the following places:

"LLANDEWI VELFREY, a parish in the hundreds of Narberth and Dungleddy, county of Pembroke, 3 miles N.E. of Narberth, its post town, and 7 from Tenby. It is situated on the river Taff and includes the hamlet of Henllan. The village is considerable. The living is a vicarage* in the diocese of St. David's, value £260, in the patronage of the lord chancellor. There is also a sinecure rectory, value £200, in the patronage of St. David's College, Lampeter. The church is dedicated to St. David."

"HENLLAN, a hamlet in the parish of Llandewi Velfrey, hundred of Dungleddy, county Pembroke, 2 miles E. of Narberth. It is situated near the river Taf."
