The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Llanllawer contained the following places:

"LLANLLAWER, a parish in the hundred of Kemess, county Pembroke, 2 miles S.E. of Fishguard, its post town, and 6 S.W. of Newport. It is situated in a mountainous district S. of Fishguard Bay, and is watered by the river Gwayn. Here is a mineral spring. The village consists of a few farmhouses. The living is a curacy annexed to the rectory of Llanychllwyddog, in the diocese of St. David's. There are many remains of antiquity in this neighbourhood."
