- The entry for this church on the National Monuments Record of Wales (NMRW) website (Coflein) where the title is -
"MAINS SUNDAY SCHOOL (CONGREGATIONAL;EBENEZER), CHURCH TERRACE, MONKTON" and it has this text "Mains Congregational Chapel Sunday School was built in 1850....." -
The Religious census of 1851 : A Calendar of the returns relating to Wales, Vol 1, South Wales has this entry;-
"Ebenezer, Monktown or St Nicholas Ind Erected in 1850 "This place is in connection with the Tabernacle Pembroke, the services are conducted by the minister and the members of that place of worship" William Trewent, Deacon" -
In the absence of any other evidence of a separate existence I conclude that these two chapels, built in the same year, are in fact the same place
