The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Pontfaen contained the following places:

"PONTFAEN, a parish in the hundred of Kemess, county Pembroke, 5 miles from Fishguard, and 4 S.W. of Newport. The village is of small extent. Pontfaen House is an ancient mansion, formerly the seat of the Laugharne family. The living is a perpetual curacy in the diocese of St. David's, value £72. The church is dedicated to St. Bernard."
