Version 3

Any GENUKI maintainer or trustee may propose a change to the GENUKI standards, by email to the maintainers' mailing list or the Trustees' mailing list. A formal proposal may follow from informal discussions on or off these lists, and should be clearly indicated as a formal proposal rather than a topic for discussion.

When a formal proposal has been made it will be discussed by the Trustees and may be taken modified or unmodified to the next stage, or rejected. The Chair of the Trustees will announce the results of their discussion on the maintainers' mailing list.

A modified or unmodified proposal will be put to the maintainers mailing list for comment and discussion for a period of 21 days. After this period the Trustees will consider in the light of the comments whether to implement the proposal, implement it in a partial or modified form or not to implement it. The Chair of the Trustees will announce the results of their discussion on the maintainers' mailing list.
