Hayfield

On Saturday the Hayfield athletic sports took place, the presence of a large assembly. 
The following is list of the principal winners:- 100 yards flat race, hayfield, H TREVITT; 
100 yards handicap flat race, for boys under 18 years, open, C L CASSON, Manchester; 
quarter mile flat race, Hayfield, T WATERHOUSE; 100 yards flat race, open, H A
COSTOBADIE, Hyde; half mile handicap flat race, open, S HAMNET, Rusholme; quarter 
mile flat race, open, G RATCLIFFE, Compstall; 7- yards handicap flat race, open to men 
over 40 years of age, J WALKER, Glossop; 200 yards handicap flat race, open, R GEE, Edgeley; 
half mile flat race, open, R HOLDEN, Pendleton; one mile flat race, open W GRADWALL, 
Levenshulme. Wrestling, Cumberland and Westmorland, any weight, John ALLONBY, Cheetham.
