From the Spalding Guardian of 1906. ------------------------------ Dated 15 Sept 1906 Mr. D. MUNRO, Jun. - We understand that at the beginning of the week Mr. D. MUNRO, jun.'s condition became more serious, and Dr. T. J. WALKER was again called in for a consultation with Dr. G. Lacy BARRITT. Mr. MUNRO has developed double pneumonia, but it is stated that he is "holding his own," which is, under the circumstances, not unsatisfactory. ------------------------------ Dated 15 Sept 1906 CHURCH LADS BRIGADE Orders for week ending September 22nd, 1906: The St Peter's Bible Class will be held at the Cote on Sunday, September 16th, at 2.15p.m. The Company will parade at the Cote on Wednesday, September 19th, at 8.15p.m. Orderly Sergeant for the week, Col.-Sergt. Lacy BARRITT, whilst the boy's companions returned to the Church for the choir practice. Dr. BARRITT's examination showed that the spike had wounded the side of the lad's chest, causing a rupture which gave rise to internal hemorrhage. Shortly after 10 o'clock BORRER suddenly collapsed and died, probably from shock. The distressing nature of the accident and the suddenness of the succeeding death of the boy has created a very painful impression in the town, and the greatest sympathy is felt with Mr. and Mrs. SEDGLEY in their loss. An inquest will be held this (Friday) afternoon. ------------------------------ Dated 3 Nov 1906: ACCIDENT TO A SPALDING PLATELAYER FALLS FROM A TROLLEY A platelayer named George W. GREEN, employed by the Great Northern Railway Co., was admitted to the Spalding Johnson Hospital on Wednesday evening suffering from a fractured shoulder blade received as the result of an accident on the line.
