"WENDY, a parish in the hundred of ARMINGFORD,
county of CAMBRIDGE, 6 miles (N.N.W.) from Royston,
containing 134 inhabitants. The living is a discharged
vicarage, with the perpetual curacy of Shingay
annexed, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Ely, rated
in the king's books at £5. 10. 10., and in the patronage
of Lord Sondes."
