Twentieth Report (Third Series) of the Committee on The Climate of Devon

Trans. Devon Assoc., vol. XXXIV, (1902), pp. 59-73.

by

Alfred Chandler, F.R. Met. Soc., & W. Ingram, A.M.I.C.E. (Eds.).

Prepared by Michael Steer

The Report was presented at the Association’s July 1902 Exeter meeting. It consists of meteorological observations related to Rainfall, Temperature, Humidity, Cloud, and Sunshine taken throughout Devon during 1901. Observations of Temperature and Rainfall were taken daily at Salcombe by Dr. Woodman Dowding. Since these commenced in the preceding autumn, only three month’s figures were submitted for the present Report. Rainfall Reports were also this year received from Kingsbridge and Totnes (Berry Pomeroy), and the Devon Rosery, Torquay. The Report, from a copy of a rare journal can be downloaded from the Internet Archive. Google has sponsored the digitisation of books from several libraries. These books, on which copyright has expired, are available for free educational and research use, both as individual books and as full collections to aid researchers.
