Trans. Devon Assoc., XI, (1879), pp. 66-77.

by

W.C. Lake, M.D., F.M.S.

Prepared by Michael Steer

The report was read at the Association’s July, 1879 Ilfracombe meeting. This report extract provides (a) names of the Climate Committee members, (b) a comprehensive list of the Stations at which readings were taken, and (c) the names of the observers. The report extract is from a copy of a rare and much sought-after journal that can be downloaded from the Internet Archive. Google has sponsored the digitisation of books from several libraries. These books, on which copyright has expired, are available for free educational and research use, both as individual books and as full collections to aid researchers.

Committee Purpose: To collect and tabulate trustworthy and comparable observations on the climate of Devon.
