PENDEFORD, a liberty in Tettenhall parish, Stafford; 4 miles NNW of Wolverhampton. Pop., 285. Pendeford Hall is the seat of the Fowlers.
WIGHTWICK, a hamlet in Tettenhall parish, Stafford; 3 miles W of Wolverhampton.
WROTTESLEY, a prebend in Tettenhall-Regis parish, Stafford; 4 miles WNW of Wolverhampton, and it gives the title of Baron to the family of Wrottesley. Real property, £1,571. Pop., 285. Wrottesley House was built in the 17th century, and was the seat of Lord Wrottesley. The estate belonged anciently to Evesham abbey; and passed to the Wrottesleys, in the time of Henry II.
