The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Britway contained the following places:

"BRITWAY, a parish in the baronies of Barrymore and Kinataloon, in the county of Cork, province of Munster, Ireland, 5 miles to the S.E. of Rathcormack. It is situated in a fertile district, partly hilly, on the banks of the river Bride. The living is a rectory united with the vicarage of Aghern, in the diocese of Cork, Ross, and Cloyne."
