The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Brideschurch contained the following places:

"BRIDESCHURCH, a parish in the barony of Clane, in the county of Kildare, and province of Leinster, Ireland, 3 miles to the N.W. of Naas. It is situated in a fertile and cultivated country on the banks of the river Liffey, which is here crossed by the Grand canal. It is near the Great Southern and Western railway, which crosses the Liffey at Sallins. The living is a rectory united to the vicarage of Carragh, in the diocese of Dublin, Glendalagh, and Kildare. Lauderstown is one of the chief residences."
