In 1868, the parish of Killallon contained the following places:

"KILLALLON, a parish in the barony of Fore, county Meath, province of Leinster, Ireland, 3 miles S.S.W. of Crossakeel. Athboy is its post town. The parish is 3 miles long by 2 broad, and includes part of Lough Newtown. The surface consists of a medium soil. It is traversed by the road from Crossakeel to Mullingar. The living is a rectory and vicarage in the diocese of Meath, value £343, in the patronage of the bishop and Marquis of Drogheda alternately. The church is at Killua. The Roman Catholic chapel is united to that of Clonmellon. There is a day school in the parish. Lakefield is the principal demesne."
