The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Fertiana contained the following places:

"FERTIANA, a parish in the barony of Eliogarty, county Tipperary, province of Munster, Ireland, 2 miles S. of Thurles. It is situated on the river Suir, which divides it from the parish of Holycross. The living is a rectory forming part of the mensal of the bishopric. There is neither church nor chapel. Cabra Castle is the principal residence."
