The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Galbooly contained the following places:

"GALBOOLY, (or Galvoley), a parish in the barony of Eliogarty, county Tipperary, province of Munster, Ireland, 2 miles S.E. of Thurles. Littleton is' its post town. It is situated on a branch of the Suir, and is traversed by the road from Thurles to Killenaule. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Cashel, value with Borrisoleagh, £905, in the patronage of the bishop. Here is a private day school.
