In 1868, the parish of Rathgormuck contained the following places:"RATHGORMUCK, (or Rathcormack), a parish in the barony of Upperthird, county Waterford, province of Munster, Ireland, 3 miles S.S.W. of Carrick-on-Suir, its post town. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Lismore, value with Mothell £591. It is united to Mothell in the Roman Catholic arrangement. There is a school supported by Lady Osborne, also one or two private ones.
