"KILBRIDE, a parish in the barony of Fartullagh, county Westmeath, province of Leinster, Ireland, 5 miles S. of Mullingar, its post town. The parish is 2 miles long by 1 mile broad. The surface consists chiefly of good arable and pasture land, with a considerable proportion of bog. The road from Mullingar to Rochfortbridge traverses the interior. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Meath, value £19. This parish forms part of the Roman Catholic district of Fartullagh. Kilbride, Whitewell, Frenchgrove, and Dunbodan Park; are the principal residences in the vicinity.
