The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Killag contained the following places:

"KILLAG, a parish in the barony of Bargy, county Wexford, province of Leinster, Ireland, 2 miles S.W. of Bridgetown. Taghmon is its post town. This parish is near 2 miles long, and barely 1 mile broad. It is situated on Lough Ballyteigne. The surface consists of a fertile soil, and is well cultivated. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Ferns, value with Mulrankin, £500, in the patronage of the bishop. There is one day school. Richfield is the seat of the Loftuses."
