The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Herbrandston contained the following places:

"HERBRANDSTON, a parish in the hundred of Roose, county Pembroke, 2 miles W. of Milford, its post town, and 7 from Haverfordwest. It is a small straggling village, near the shore of Milford Haven. It is supposed to be the spot where the Flemings first landed in England. The living is a rectory* in the diocese of St. David's, value £218. The church is dedicated to St. Mary. A fair is held on the 12th August."
