Will of Reverend John Hole, Clerk of Swimbridge, Devon

This is the Last Will and Testament of me John Hole of Swimbridge in the County of Devon Clerk. 
I give and bequeath unto my daughter Susanna Lewes the wife of Reverend John Jeffreys Rector of Otterhampton in the County of Somerset the sum of six hundred pounds part of certain monies which I have invested in the three per centum [] Bank annuities to and for her sole and separate use and benefit and independent of her present or any future husband and his debts control and engagements and so that her receipt or receipts alone notwithstanding her couverture shall be a sufficient discharge or sufficient discharges for the same or any dividends that may become payable thereon.
 All the Rest residue and Remainder of my real and personal estate and effects of what nature or kind soever it may be subject to the payment of my just debts funeral and testamentary expences I give devise and bequeath the same unto my son William Hole his heirs executors administrators and assignees for ever.
 I wish and desire my said son to cause my body to be buried in a common grave and to have it carried there by eight men belonging to the Swimbridge Club of which he is a member and I desire him to give them half a crown each and a dinner for their services (but no mourning) and my wish is that the officiating Minister at my funeral shall be also paid by him the sum of one sovereign (but no mourning shall be given then).
 I hereby appoint my said son sole Executor of this my Will hereby revoking all former Wills by me at any time heretobefore made. 
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this sixth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty seven John Hole L.D. – signed by the said Testator as his Last will and Testament in the presence of us present at the same time who in his presence  and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as attesting witnesses J.J. Shapland, Solicitor South Molton , Mary Woolacott
Proved at London 28th April 1848 before the Justice by the oath of William Hole the son the sole Executor to whom administration was granted having been first sworn by Commission only to administer
