"HALLINGBURY (GREAT), a parish in the hundred
of HARLOW, county of ESSEX, 2 miles (S. E. by E.) from
Bishop's Stortford, containing 678 inhabitants. The
living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Middlesex,
and diocese of London, rated in the king's books at
£22. J. A. Houblon, Esq. was patron in 1812. A
