The friary of Clonosey lay in a circular enclosure on what was formerly a promontory. The graveyard is much overgrown. Some banks are believed to mark the foundations of the church. No well or friary-buildings have survived. According to tradition, there was an unassuming mass-house in the enclosure until about 1800.
