Will of John Snell, Yeoman of Clyst Saint Lawrence

Be it Remembered that this is the last Will and Testament of me John Snell of Clist St Lawrence in the County of Devon Yeoman which I make in manner and form following that is to say I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Betty the Wife of William Clark the sum of twenty pounds to be paid to her at the expiration of one year next after my death Also I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Mary the Wife of James Mitchell the sum of twenty pounds to be paid to her at the expiration of one year next after my death Also I give and bequeath unto my Sister Martha Merchant the sum of two shillings and six pence a Week for and during her natural life to be paid her by my Executors weekly at the end of every week from the time of my death free and clear of any deduction thatsoever Also I give to my Grandson Samuel Snell the Son of my Son George Snell the sum of fifty pounds when and if he shall live to attain the age of twenty one years All the Rest Residue and Remainder of my monies and securities for money goods chattels rights testamentary Estate and Effects whatsoever subject and charged to and with the payment of my funeral expences my just debts and the several legacies hereinbefore by me given I give and bequeath the same unto my two Sons John Snell and George Snell to be equally divided between them share and share alike as Tenants in common and I do here by nominate constitute and appoint my two Sons John and George Joint Executors of this my Will And I do hereby revoke and make void all former and other Wills and Testamentary Dispositions by me made declaring this only to contain my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal this ninth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty two John Snell
