The source (WSA) and DWP's editing process

Our WSA source items have been produced from an extract from their database, kindly provided by the Wiltshire and Swindon Archives, Chippenham, Wilts. Chardstock was transferred from Dorset to Devon in 1896, well after all these Chardstock wills were proved, one presumes. However some of the Chardstock entries in the WSA database nevertheless identify Chardstock as being in Dorset - the county code for such entries is therefore given here as "DOR". (Note that this set of source items and UFWI include many duplicate entries, since the originals of most UFWI entries are held at WSA in Chippenham.)
